Research and consulting experience
- Extensive research and consulting experience over 27 years in general applied statistics, econometrics, time series analysis, forecasting, information systems, e-commerce, e-government, learning styles and online education.
- Long involvement in research teams in various roles: from research assistant to project leader in The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, Department of Statistics at the Auckland University, Yugoslav Statistical Institute, Institute of Economic Science, and at the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Economics). The most common projects were concerned with the use of computer-based information systems for business analysis and forecasting (econometrics and time series forecasting).
- Writing grant proposals, designing research methodologies, preparing databases of time series and cross-section data, applying research methods to the data, analysing statistical outputs, writing research reports, conference and journal articles.
- Writing collaborative research papers and presenting them at research seminars, national and international conferences.
- Publishing papers in international and national journals.
- Constructing and implementing time series and econometric models for short-term forecasting and generated short-term economic forecasts for the Federal Government and their Ministries.
- Co-writing monthly report about short-term economic conditions and ad-hoc reports on specific topics.
- Liaising with the Federal Statistical Office to ensure timely access and quality of statistical data used for forecasting and analysis in the Ministry of Trade.
- Writing and delivering seminars on forecasting techniques and using statistical and econometric software to the Federal Government employees.
Administrative experience
- Participating regularly in administrative functions within a University as attendee at School and Faculty meetings and as a member of academic committees.
- Supervising academic staff, both on campus and adjunct faculty and admin staff.
- Helping journal Editor-in-Chief to promote the journal, selecting and liaising with reviewers.
- Founding the tutors’ professional association at the University of Belgrade in 1989 with more than 1,500 tutors and became the first president of the association. Organising and chairing meetings of 8-members of executive board and annual general meetings for all members.
