Some key current areas of focus for information systems, general applied statistical methods, time series analysis and online pedagogy research include:
- Models and determinants of the Internet adoption in Serbia (at micro and mezzo levels)
- Models and determinants of the Internet diffusion worldwide (focus is on the role of economic, social, cultural and political factors)
- Classification models in financial time series and portfolio analysis
- Market efficiency of the South-East European stock markets
- Volatility of the South-East European financial markets
- Similariity, dissimilarity and distance measures
- An exploratory analysis and comparison of alternative indicators of democracy (Freedom House index, Polity IV and Polyarchy, i.e. Index of Democratization)
- Predictive model for early identification of ‘at risk’ students (statistical modelling with large data sets and high-dimensional covariate spaces in regression, discriminant and classification models for prediction)
